START HERE / 5 SIMPLE STEPS

Your first session.
Made simple.

New to Kyro? Follow this starter checklist to get comfortable and make your first sketch.

ⓘ Initial draft: the exact buttons and menu labels should be checked against your current app build.
01
PREPARE

Open Kyro and start a canvas

Launch the app and look for the option to create or open a canvas. Choose a manageable size for your first experiment.

  • Pick a canvas size suited to a quick sketch.
  • Use a familiar orientation, such as portrait or landscape.
  • Give yourself room to experiment rather than aiming for a finished piece.
02
CHOOSE A TOOL

Select a brush

Choose a basic brush and make a few test marks. Different brushes can produce different edges, textures and stroke weights.

  • Try light and firm strokes if pressure is supported.
  • Test a few sizes before drawing your subject.
  • Undo or clear your test marks when you are ready.

03
MAKE A MARK

Draw something simple

Start with a basic shape, a character silhouette or a small object on your desk. Focus on getting used to the drawing feel.

  • Block in large shapes before adding details.
  • Zoom in only when you need to work on smaller areas.
  • Try different marks and keep the ones you like.
✳
04
STAY ORGANised

Explore layers

If layers are available in your current workspace, use them to separate parts of the image and make changes easier to manage.

  • Look for the layer panel or layer controls.
  • Check the selected layer before drawing.
  • Keep your sketch and details separate when useful.
05
KEEP YOUR WORK

Save, then explore

Save your project using the available save workflow. If you want to share an image, look for export options and confirm the file is where you expect it.

  • Save before closing the app.
  • Check the available export formats.
  • Continue learning with the handbook and video tutorials.
